Rosemarie Bernardi's prints, drawings, and installations utilize layering, distance, and metaphor to investigate psychological interiority. 


She has exhibited nationally and internationally in over 300 exhibitions. Her artwork is in public collections including the Philadelphia Museum of Art, the Nelson Atkins Museum, and the Bibliotheque Nationale de France.


Besides a Roswell Artist in Residency, her awards include a National Endowment for the Arts Fellowship, five MacDowell Colony Residencies, a Frans Masereel Centrum Print Residency in Belgium, and a John Anson Kittredge Fund Award.


She began her teaching at the University of Alabama in Huntsville. Over her career she has been tenured professor at the University of Delaware, the University of Arizona, and Keene State College in New Hampshire where she is a Faculty Emeritus.
